Jameis Winston Injury

Jameis Winston suffered four fractures in his back in Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season.

He played through the injury for two more weeks before being placed on injured reserve. He has not played since.

The fractures were in his L1, L2, L3, and L4 vertebrae. These are the four vertebrae in the lower back that support the spine.

The fractures were not considered serious, and there was no risk of further damage. However, they were enough to cause Winston pain and discomfort.

Winston has been rehabbing his back since being placed on injured reserve. He is expected to be ready for the start of the 2023 season.

It will be interesting to see how Winston performs when he returns to the field.

He is a talented quarterback, and he has the potential to be a difference-maker for the Saints. However, his back injury is a concern, and it is possible that it will affect his play.

Only time will tell how Winston's back injury will affect his career.  However, he is a resilient player, and he has shown that he can overcome  adversity.

If he can stay healthy, he has the potential to be a top quarterback in the NFL.
